Jeremia A. Pollard

Principal Attorney

Jeremia Ashley Pollard is the principal and owner at Hannon Lerner, P.C. Attorney Pollard is related to notable Southern Berkshire historical figure Colonel John Ashley, who built the first saw mill in Berkshire County. Colonel Ashley, who was a judge of the Court of Common Pleas, was instrumental in drafting the 1773 Sheffield Declaration, a petition against British tyranny and declaration of individual rights, which was written in the upstairs study of the Ashley House in Sheffield, Massachusetts.

Attorney Pollard graduated from Western New England School of Law in 1999 and subsequently clerked for Francis X. Spina of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. Attorney Pollard has acted as lead counsel in litigation before the trial and appellate courts in federal and state courts, as well as before various administrative bodies throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

He successfully argued before the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court in Commonwealth v. Augello, 452 Mass. 1021 (2008) and Borowski v. O'Brien, 461 Mass. 415 (2012).

In addition to his trial practice, Attorney Pollard currently serves as Town Counsel to eleven Western Massachusetts municipalities.

Advocacy in its noblest form requires an assessment of all
that is beneficial and harmful from a proposed course of action.
